[Tutorial] Stop Galaxy Y Automatic Internet Access
If you are a prepaid customer, you may experience loss of money on your SIM card as soon as you start your phone. Reason? It might have Packet Data option on, which uses your operator's network for internet access. This is good to use only if you are on a data plan and have free MBs from your operator, if not you must stop it because it will keep connecting and eat up your money.
It's very easy. First you go to the Settings menu.
After that, go to Wireless and networks

Scroll down to the bottom and you should see Mobile Networks

Go there.
Next, we see Use Packet Data checked.

Uncheck it.
